Form Submission Overview

Sales Jumpstart Automation: Form Submissions

What It Does

When a new lead submits a contact form on your website, this automation immediately kicks in to welcome them, organize their info, and move them into your sales system—so no one slips through the cracks.

How It Works

Trigger: Lead submits a form on your website
Automation Actions:
  • Adds the lead to your Sales Pipeline under the “New Lead” stage in Opportunities
  • Sends a confirmation email to thank them and set clear expectations
  • Sends a friendly SMS to acknowledge their inquiry and invite them to send project photos or videos

Example Messages

Email:
"Hi {{contact.first_name}}, thanks for reaching out! We received your form and will be in touch within 24 hours (or on Monday if it’s the weekend)."
Text:
"Hello {{contact.first_name}}, we got your message and will follow up soon. If you want to speed things up, send us photos or videos of your space. – {{location.name}}"

How to View Form or Survey Submissions

You can see exactly what a lead submitted in a few different ways:

1. Via the Submissions Tab

  • Go to Sites in the left-hand menu
  • If the form on your website is a single-page form (everything is filled out and submitted all at once):
    • Click Forms, then toggle down to Submissions to view all entries
  • If the form is a multi-step form (users fill out one step, click “Next”, then complete more fields):
    • That’s a Survey
    • Go to Surveys, then toggle down to Submissions to see those responses
This gives you a centralized view of all submissions across your website forms or surveys.

2. Inside the Contact Record

  • Navigate to Contacts, click on the contact who submitted the form
  • In the left-side panel, you’ll see all the info they submitted right there—clean, organized, and easy to reference

📌 Why It Matters

This automation doesn’t just save time—it makes a great first impression. It gives the lead instant confirmation that their message was received, builds trust right away, and sets the foundation for a smooth follow-up. Meanwhile, all their info is stored neatly in your CRM, ready for your next step.
