Deck Photography: Dos and Don'ts

Use this as a visual guide on the kind of images we want from you (and those we don't).

Deck Image Dos

✅ DO take images from a variety of angles when shooting the same side of a deck (the more, the merrier).

✅ DO take images showing how people will use the area.

✅ DO shoot from interesting angles.

✅ DO take before and after shots from similar angles.

✅ DO show off your company shirts in those progress shots!

✅ DO show off your lights at night or in the late evening

Deck Image Don'ts

❌ DON'T feature people and equipment in your final images.

❌ DON'T disregard your own and other shadows in the picture.

❌ DON'T take only vertical images. They don't showcase your work well or look good within web content, and they take up too much space.
