Email Campaign Templates Overview
Editing Email Campaign Templates in Sales Jumpstart
With Sales Jumpstart, we’ve already set up email campaign templates to help you connect with leads, nurture relationships, and drive conversions. But we know that sometimes you’ll need to make tweaks or update the content to reflect your latest offers, promotions, or client communications.
This guide shows you exactly how to edit the email campaign templates we’ve set up for you, so you can stay on top of your messaging and make sure it’s always in line with your business goals.
1. Accessing Your Email Campaign Templates
- Login to your Sales Jumpstart Dashboard
- From the main menu, navigate to Marketing > Campaigns.
Once in the Campaigns section, you’ll see a list of all the campaigns we’ve set up for you—these are pre-built templates designed to run your email marketing smoothly.
2. Editing a Pre-Built Email Campaign Template
Step 1: Find the Campaign You Want to Edit
- From the Campaigns tab, locate the email campaign you want to edit.
- You may see the campaigns listed by name or type (e.g., “New Lead Follow-Up”, “Project Completion Review Request”).
Step 2: Open the Campaign for Editing
- Click on the campaign name to open the details.
- In this screen, you’ll see the steps in your email sequence (i.e., the emails being sent out).
- Click Edit next to the email you want to change. This will open the email editor.
3. Editing the Email Content
Step 1: Editing the Email Body
- Open the Email Editor
- After clicking “Edit,” you’ll be brought into the email content editor, where you can modify the email’s text, layout, and structure.
- Update Text
- Edit copy: Update the subject line, body text, and any call-to-actions (CTAs) to match the current message you want to send.
- Use dynamic fields: If needed, you can add personalized variables like {{contact.first_name}} to automatically insert the recipient’s name for a more personal touch.
- Adjust Layout and Design
- Use the drag-and-drop builder to add or remove blocks (like text, images, buttons) from the email.
- You can also adjust the font style, size, and color to match your brand’s look and feel.
- Add Links and CTAs
- Include links to your website, booking forms, or specific landing pages (like a special offer or consultation page).
- Use button blocks for clearer calls to action.
Step 2: Add or Remove Variables
If you want to dynamically change content (like the recipient’s name, project details, or location), use dynamic fields such as:
- {{contact.first_name}}
- {{deal.value}}
- {{user.phone_number}}
These fields pull information directly from your CRM and help keep your emails personalized without extra work.
4. Preview and Test Your Email
Step 1: Preview the Email
- After editing the email content, click Preview to see how it will look to the recipient.
- Ensure that the dynamic fields are pulling in the right information.
Step 2: Send Test Email
- To ensure everything looks perfect, click Send Test.
- Enter your email address and check how the email renders in your inbox before you send it to customers.
5. Editing the Email Sequence
Once you’ve updated an individual email, you may also want to make changes to the email sequence (the order in which the emails are sent).
Step 1: Navigate to the Sequence Settings
- In the Campaigns section, open the campaign you’re working on.
- You’ll see a list of emails in the sequence. Each email has a specific send time and interval (e.g., “Send 1 day after contact form submission”).
Step 2: Adjust the Timing and Order
- You can reorder emails by dragging and dropping them in the sequence.
- Edit the timing by adjusting the wait time between each email. For example, you can send the second email 3 days after the first instead of 5.
Step 3: Save Changes
Once you’ve made all the necessary adjustments, click Save to update the email sequence.
6. Publish Your Changes
After editing the content or sequence of your emails:
- Click Save in the editor to store your changes.
- If you’ve made significant changes to the campaign (like content or timing adjustments), you can Publish to make the updated campaign live.
7. Monitor Campaign Performance
Once your updated emails are live, keep an eye on their performance by checking:
- Open rates
- Click-through rates
- Conversion rates
This information is available in the Campaign Reports section of Sales Jumpstart, helping you see how well your email campaigns are doing.
